I have lost a word. What is it called when authors have a quote or a piece of a poem on the very first page of the book? Whatever it's called I have a lot of those. In fact, among the many, many things I collect, shit like that has a prime position, which is, in part, what this entry is going to be about.

I finished Lady Chatterley's Lover last night and with that I have read 40 books off my Filling in the Gaps list. The list isn't really all that serious, it's too fluid to be, really, since I delete and add books to it at a breakneck speed, but what it does is help me read more. So last May the psychologist I'm temporarily seeing, the one at the employment agency, suggested that I'd do an IQ test and I did. It took 4 hours and it was kind of fun, but due to getting hospitalized for my butt and shit, I ended up not finding out the results until Monday this week ( Read more... )

I've been working every day this week, which is unusual, but fun. Last three days were at a daycare and one of these days I need to get a temp that is longer than three days -- a few months would be awesome, but I'd settle for two weeks, seriously. So today happened, and I've gotten so far that I can be comfortable with capital letters again. My father's uncle Oscar died this morning at 8am, and I'm really sad about this, sadder than I had perhaps expected. Ugh, I'm bad at keeping up with this shit, even though I'm back to having my LJ flist open in a tab all day long and obsessively refreshing it. I'm going to blame work, because there has been a little bit of that going on this week.
